Peter Fischer is a Policy officer in the sport unit of the European Commission’s department for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport. His main areas of responsibilities are sport and sustainability; the international dimension of sport, including the European Week of Sport beyond borders; and Erasmus+ (mobility of sport staff; capacity building).
Peter coordinated the work of the Green Sport Expert Group, which published the “Sport sector playbook for the European Green Deal”, with recommendations for environmentally sustainable sport in Europe.
Prior to joining the sport unit, Peter has gathered experience in various policy and communication units of the European Commission, where he worked on international cooperation, regional policy and EU accession policies.
He is a big basketball and football fan, which he used to play in amateur leagues; nowadays he tries to keep himself fit with cycling, indoor rowing, and during the summer months, swimming, and kayaking.

Tomasz Frankowski is a former Polish national footballer. He played in several football clubs such as Jagiellonia Białystok, Wisła Kraków, RC de Strasbourg, Potiers, Martigues, Elche, Nagoya Grampus Eight, Wolverhampton Wanderers, CD Tenerife and Chicago Fire. He is the third most successful goal scorer in Polish football league history.
Following his election to the European Parliament in 2019, he is a member of the Committee on Culture and Education (CULT) and a coordinator of the EPP Group in this committee. He is also a co-Chair of the Sports Group in the European Parliament and the EP rapporteur on the future of the EU sport policy report.

Gillian Kelly is a Senior Research Manager in the Policy & Research Team at Ecorys. She is the Project Manager of the ‘Study on Athletes’ Rights in and around big sport events’. She has worked with DG EAC on several EU sport policy projects including 'Study on the European Sport Model’, ‘Study on the fight against anabolic steroids and human growth hormones in sport in the EU’, ‘Support to the SHARE (SportHub: Alliance for Regional development in Europe) initiative’, ‘Collective bargaining practices in European team sports’, and ‘Study on safeguarding children in sport’.
